Is Mid-March Far Too Late to Send Colleges Additional Information?

I’m waiting to know from three schools and I needs decisions over the following fourteen days or so. Not long ago I got a honor and I also’m wondering if it’s too late to deliver it in to augment my applications. Can I send this in, or perhaps is it maybe not worth every penny? Or does it perhaps annoy them? Or are decisions made already? Sorry for so numerous questions.

No need to apologize for your questions. That is just what ‘The Dean’ is here now for, and the college admission procedure is really so confusing so it raises concerns galore.

There is actually no disadvantage to notifying your universities in regards to the brand new honor, despite having your verdicts looming. But only deliver the news should you feel that you’ve won a crucial honor, and ‘important’ are going to be defined differently depending on where you’re applying. At the most hyper-competitive places ( like the Ivies and any college with an acceptance rate in solitary digits or teenagers), only a major prize (national, best in state, etc.) would go the needle at this belated date. But at most of the other universities, if you feel that the honor you merely received is just a significant one, then email your local admissions rep today. If you cannot decide what qualifies as ‘significant’ write back once again to explain your award and title the universities.
